Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.
Natalie Weiss RD is a virtual private practice providing personalized nutrition care for women and their families. I work with clients throughout Illinois, offering one-on-one support tailored to your unique needs and stage of life.
This practice was created with a clear purpose: to give women the kind of nutrition care that is often missing in traditional healthcare. Care that is thoughtful, personalized, and grounded in truly listening.
Women’s nutritional needs are not static, they shift and evolve over time. From the demands of the childbearing years to the hormonal changes that follow, each phase requires a different level of support, attention, and nourishment. Yet many women are left navigating these changes on their own, often with little more than a brief annual appointment and minimal guidance.
I wanted to offer something different.
A space where your concerns are taken seriously. Where your experience is heard. And where your care is built around you - not rushed, generic or one size fits all.
Even as a dietitian, I found myself depleted during my own childbearing years. I know firsthand how challenging it can be to meet your body’s needs during that time, and how much of a difference the right support can make. That experience is what led me to expand my training in lactation, recognizing how closely nutrition and feeding support are connected.
This work is deeply personal to me, and it shapes the way I care for every client.
About Natalie
I’ve been a dietitian since 2008, and women’s health has always been a passion of mine. My career began in hospitals, working in acute care, the ICU, and the NICU, caring for patients and newborns with complex nutrition needs.
Those experiences shaped the way I think about disease prevention and the importance of evidence-based care. In 2024, I added my Certified Lactation Counselor credential; something I’d wanted for a long time.
Before having my first daughter, I worked at an integrative fertility clinic in Chicago called Pulling Down the Moon, providing complementary care for women going through IVF. Around the same time, I completed yoga teacher training with a focus on prenatal yoga and taught classes in the city. I’ve also written and contributed to books on nutrition and feeding, including self-publishing Eating for Breast Cancer Prevention and co-authoring An Idiot’s Guide to Homemade Baby and Toddler Food with Penguin Random House, translating nutrition science into practical guidance for families.
Now, I live in the suburbs of Chicago with my husband, our three kids, and our dog. I love cooking, being active, and spending time outdoors. One of the things that makes my approach unique is that I bring the same love and creativity to food as I do to nutrition science. I secretly wish I lived in the mountains, but the Midwest is home, and I’m grateful to do work that feels meaningful while raising three wonderful kids.
