Your Next Quick Breakfast: Berry Yogurt Parfait

by Natalie on July 17, 2014

topwithlogoIf you’re anything like me, mornings can be a bit chaotic. That’s where yogurt parfaits come in! They’re the ultimate go-to breakfast if you want something quick and healthy before you head out the door.

The protein in the unsweetened yogurt leaves you fulfilled without all the sugar. The fruit provides natural sweetness and gives you a hit of antioxidants to start your day.

I used raspberries, plums, and pomegranate arils to create the parfait you see pictured, but you can use whatever fruit you like. All  berries, grapes, cantaloupe, kiwi, and ripe peach work really well.

This is one of the breakfast options I recommend to clients in my Bridal Bliss weight loss program. I hope you like it!

Berry Yogurt Parfait

¼ cup pomegranate arils
6-8 ounces plain, unsweetened, whole milk yogurt
¼ cup toasted pecans, chopped fine (or walnuts, or sliced almonds)

1. Combine fruit, yogurt, and nuts in a small bowl, cup, or tupperware container (for on the go).
2. Enjoy!
