My own experiences as a mother led me toward this work long before I realized it myself.
Through three pregnancies and breastfeeding journeys, I saw firsthand how easily women’s needs fade into the background. I dealt with nutrient depletion, exhaustion, food restrictions due to allergic babies, and the pressure to keep giving even when I was running on empty.
Those experiences showed me how many women move through motherhood feeling depleted, overlooked, or unsure where to turn for personalized support.
That’s why I started this practice: to create a space where women feel nourished, supported, and truly seen. A place where nutrition care is designed for the season you’re in, whether you’re navigating allergies, breastfeeding, hormonal shifts, persistent fatigue, or simply trying to take better care of yourself. My goal is to help you feel steady and well again with clear, evidence-based guidance and support that fits your life.
Why I Started This Practice
About Natalie
I’ve been a dietitian since 2008, and women’s health has always been a passion of mine. My career began in hospitals, working in acute care, the ICU, and the NICU, caring for patients and newborns with complex nutrition needs.
Those experiences shaped the way I think about disease prevention and the importance of evidence-based care. In 2024, I added my Certified Lactation Counselor credential; something I’d wanted for a long time.
Before having my first daughter, I worked at an integrative fertility clinic in Chicago called Pulling Down the Moon, providing complementary care for women going through IVF. Around the same time, I completed yoga teacher training with a focus on prenatal yoga and taught classes in the city. I’ve also written and contributed to books on nutrition and feeding, including self-publishing Eating for Breast Cancer Prevention and co-authoring An Idiot’s Guide to Homemade Baby and Toddler Food with Penguin Random House, translating nutrition science into practical guidance for families.
Now, I live in the suburbs of Chicago with my husband, our three kids, and our dog. I love cooking, being active, and spending time outdoors. One of the things that makes my approach unique is that I bring the same love and creativity to food as I do to nutrition science. I secretly wish I lived in the mountains, but the Midwest is home, and I’m grateful to do work that feels meaningful while raising three wonderful kids.
